A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist position is available to provide VOCO services within a K-12 school setting in Millbrook, AL. The role involves delivering specialized speech therapy support across multiple elementary and high schools serving a caseload of approximately 50-60 students. The contract position spans through the current school year until May 22, 2026, with a standard 37.5-hour work week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in school-aged children.
- Collaborate with educational staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Provide VOCO therapy services either onsite or via teletherapy platforms as assigned.
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports in compliance with local and state regulations.
- Adapt therapy methods to accommodate varying student needs across different schools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist licensure; SLPA credentials will not be accepted.
- Experience working with K-12 student populations.
- Proficiency in both onsite and teletherapy (telepractice) speech-language services.
- Strong caseload management skills with the ability to handle between 50 to 60 students.
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills within the educational environment.
